[ Wow, she... just happened to glance up on her way back into her dorm, only to see a familiar figure on the balcony.

Otome blinks, mildly perplexed, then cups her hands around her mouth to call up to him. ]

Is everything all right, Lalli?

[silentscout]

[Lalli had been looking out to the horizon, trying to see if he could actually spot any details about the city that lays beyond the forest. But he is quickly distracted by Otome's voice, and he looks down at her.]

Yes? Why would things be wrong?

[Someone should tell him it's not normal to perch on balconies other than your own.]

[momming]

... Well, not wrong necessarily, but I didn't expect to see anyone perched on the balcony...

[ He seems fine, at least. ]

[silentscout]

Oh.

[It's an honest answer, so Lalli can understand it. And it prompts him to explain a bit.]

I'm a scout. Scouts need to be able to see everything.

[momming]

A scout? You mean like a guide and surveyor?

[ Well, he certainly seems comfortable in high places. ]

Is that a good enough view, then?

[silentscout]

Mhmm.

[Mostly. There's other parts too, but that's the general idea.]

It's alright. Nothing here is very tall, so even short spots work.

There isn't much to see anyway. All the buildings are covered in tarps.

[momming]

Right, because of the construction... I suppose it's worth checking out again as things get completed?

[ If Lalli wants to hang on their balcony, sure. ]

[silentscout]

That's what I'm going to do.

[He might find an even taller perch as buildings are finished!]

Have you seen the head of your dorm yet?

[momming]

"Seen"... no, only spoken with over text. What about you?

[silentscout]

Not yet. I don't like that they're hiding.

[momming]

And I don't like that they seem to think we're making up our predicament.

[silentscout]

Mmm. We don't have any reason to lie.

[momming]

No, we don't. But I suppose that might not be how they see it.

[ Unfortunately. ]

[silentscout]

Liars expect people to lie.

[momming]

[ She frowns, pensive. ]

So you do think they're lying?

[silentscout]

I don't know. But whatever people expect of others, that's what they do themselves.

[momming]

... [ She can't really deny that, but it does sound a little sad. ]

I guess it may be too early to tell, on certain things. But I'll be sure to observe as I go.

[silentscout]

[He nods.]

I hope your stitches are better than Mikkel's. They healed, but they look terrible.

[momming]

[ She also nods. ]

Don't ask me to cook amazingly, but I'm proud of my stitches.

Week 0, Friday

[silentscout]

[Shortly after body announcement, Otome gets a text!]

I found Dimitri passed out in a classroom.

Do you have painkillers?

[momming]

[ oh my god ]

I do, yes. Is he still there?

[silentscout]

He's on top of the school now.

We headbutted on accident and it's sore, but I think it hurts more for him.

[momming]

[ On top of the... ]

I'm not entirely sure I can reach him, but... I'll see what I can do. Are you sure you're fine?

Week 2, Saturday

[momming]

[ Hi. Otome's really tired, but she can at least nod to Lalli when she spots him.

Hi, Lalli. ]

[silentscout]

[Hi Otome! Lalli is actually going to go over to her when she nods to him.]

I didn't say what I did because I thought you had killed.
