She makes it soon enough, skidding to a stop in front of Otome.]

Otome! Hey. Uh. Are... are you okay?

[ Whoa. She sure did skid.

And Otome has been tended to, though she's still resting an arm over her ribs. ]

Nothing that won't heal eventually, so I'll be fine.

[ She sure is better than Kaoruko!! You know, that kid she killed! ]

... I don't mean just physically, you know? After what you went through... it's okay if you're not.

[momming]

... Honestly, it still feels like a very bad dream.

[ With a slow shake of her head. ]

[A soft sigh.]

... Yeah. I feel the same way. And then sometimes it all feels way too real.

[ Firmly. ]

But yeah. I did. I just... couldn't vote for anyone with how the trial went.

[momming]

I couldn't, either. I've said this a few times, but dogs can react negatively to any amount of stimuli. Not just because it dislikes someone for killing its owner.

... Have you been all right, since then? Physically?

[ LISTEN SHE KNOWS SHE JUST WAS FORCED TO FIGHT A TEENAGE GIRL TO THE DEATH BUT-- ]

[A beat.]

Did that... did that not also happen to you? I really thought maybe the punishments would be the same.

[momming]

Yes, but no. You see, in my case... [ she taps her left ear. ]

I can't hear out of this.

[Her brows draw together, expression growing more frustrated.]

So... what? They're taking our senses away for not playing along with their little game?

[momming]

That seems to be the case. Maybe to make us more appealing victims if this is actually going to continue.

[ She sighs, softly. ]

Do you plan on telling everyone, Adora?

[superjock]

... I'd rather not worry everyone if I can avoid it.

Winter dorm knows though... what about you?

A few people from the summer dorm, a couple outside of it.

[ She pauses, mulling over her words. ]

I thought about maybe warning the others if we end up in a trial like that again, but I don't want attention to fall on you either.

[superjock]

[She shakes her head at that.]

If it comes to that, don't worry about me. I'll be fine.

Do what you have to do to protect more people. I don't want anyone else to go through this too.

[momming]

Neither do I. I'll mention it, but I won't bring your name up at all. You can decide what you'd like to do from there.

[ But people should probably know, from the two biggest bleeding hearts. ]

[She nods quietly.]

... You'll be careful too, right? If that's really trying to make us a target... at least make sure you've got someone protecting you. You were injured in that--yesterday, too.
