And then just kind of groaning and faceplanting against her shoulder.

... Adora?

[ Hi. She pats her head. ]

she just groans some more]

I'm so sick of thisssss.

[momming]

I am, too. Rupert... he's so kind, it's difficult to wrap my mind around.

[superjock]

[She closes her eyes tightly.]

... He's our friend. He's everyone's friend, because he's really just a nice guy who's always looking out for everyone.

So... why?

[momming]

There has to be a reason. You saw how he reacted when Beau pressed the question.

... He's never been anything but kind to me. I don't think that was a lie.

[superjock]

[Her expression crumples.]

I think that too. Of course I do. But... "kind" doesn't bring back the person he's killed, either.

[momming]

No... taking a life is a serious offense.

... I do wish we had a better way of handling it than being forced to kill them.

[ She wouldn't wish that on anyone. ]

[superjock]

... I know. It's... this doesn't solve anything. It just hurts more people.

[momming]

And yet we can't stop it from happening, either. We can't even reason with whoever's behind this.

[superjock]

[... Adora just groans, tugging at her hair.]

I'm not used to not being able to do anything.

[momming]

Neither am I. It's frustrating, isn't it?

Yeah... I don't really know what to do, to be honest.

I just know--we have to stop this somehow.

... But how? I don't think asking people to stop killing is going to work.
