If you wouldn't mind. It's been... well, a good chunk of time since last I wrestled, so I'm probably very rusty.

[ She does not look like someone who wrestled. ]

You - wrestled? Like wrestled how? [she seems delighted by this knowledge]

Ah, well... [ She looks a little sheepish, honestly. ]

Sumo, mostly. But there were a few wrestling moves that I wanted to try, just because I thought they looked like they might be interesting. Things like suplexes?

Suplexes? [i'm sorry she says this a little loudly but like, that's the COOLEST THING SHE'S EVER HEARD]

What - what is sumo, you have to tell me everything.

[momming]

[ That surprises a laugh out of her. ]

-- Oh, you know what, I absolutely fucking forgot where we were. The spirit of girl wrestling overcame me.

[momming]

I'd like that! You seem like someone I'd most certainly like to get to know better.

[ And she seems really enthused about wrestling, it's cute. ]

Uh - sure. Sure, yeah, I'm gr -- I mean, I'm fine, I guess anyway let's go what's your favorite food? [nailed it]

Sesame tofu, but I'm not entirely sure they have it here.

[ She could ask about the blush but she's merciful mostly. ]

And you, Beau?

Oh, uh. I don't know. I like bacon a lot. Homemade bread. Simple stuff. What's tofu?

[momming]

Bean curd. On its own, it's rather plain, but it also absorbs the flavor of any dish it's cooked in, which makes it very versatile.

[ Ah, tofu. ]

Homemade bread sounds delicious, though!

[disreguarded]

That sounds really fucking good, actually. Maybe the cafeteria will serve it sometime.

[she's gonna start walking.] My --

[a beat.] My mom used to make it? Bread. It was the one thing she was reliably good at making. There's really nothing like coming home at three in the morning to the smell of bread baking.

[momming]

[ And she falls into step beside Beau, noticing the pause but choosing not to ask about it. Instead, she nods, looking fascinated. ]

I'm not sure what you were doing out so late, but I do think there's something to be said about the smell of bread really making things feel like home. My mother never baked it, but I would slip into a nearby bakery when I could just to breathe in the smells.

[she does not know, beau. she grins a bit though.] Right? There's something comforting about it. I gotta learn to cook when life settles down, I've always been shit at it.

[momming]

[ she does not know, Beau??

She does know this, though, and she winces a bit. ]

I can relate. I know a three-year-old who can cook better than I can.

[she laughs.]

Really? That's impressive. [she shoves her hands in her pockets.] Maybe we can try to figure it out here at some point? Looks like we're gonna be stuck for a hot second.

[momming]

I think that sounds like a wonderful idea! If we're lucky, they might even have a class dedicated to cooking.

[ So they don't immediately burn down the kitchen. ]

I wish I'd learned to cook when I was younger. Guess you're never too old to learn though.

[momming]

I'd say so! After all, here I am at... school. Again.

[ SHE DID HER TIME. ]

I have. I am officially licensed to keep people healthy.
