[ ... She gets the feeling Beau isn't going to make herself easy to find. And it's not Otome can go sprinting around looking for her. But she can go slowly wandering in search of her, several scarves in hand for all the people being emotionally distressed who didn't dress warmly. Just in case.
also sorry otome she's just curled up next to a tree somewhere. she at least looks better than she did, covered in less severe burns and partially healed bruises. her knuckles are a fucking incredible mess though. she's also completely red-eyed and blotchy in places because she's been crying for... several hours.
[ Normally she prefers to take things slow. People grieve in different ways but she tries to approach anyone in pain, physical or emotional, with the care and gentleness of one approaching an injured wild animal.
But seeing Beau with her knuckles so wrecked like that and her posture defensive and miserable and that broken expression...
Otome walks closer until she can drop to her knees and pull Beau into a tight hug, her own eyes stinging with tears. ]
[ahhh, well. she was composed up until otome hugs her, and then she just - hiccups, and then starts crying for real, holding onto the back of otome's shirt and just letting herself sob. she sounds exhausted even as she's doing it.]
Otome doesn't say a word in response-- mostly because nothing she can say will make this better. Sometimes you just need to let people cry, so the only real change is that she tightens her grip around Beau and closes her eyes.
This is all she can do for her right now and she hates that it can't be more. ]
[thankfully it doesn't take very long for her to get it out of her system. otome might get the impression she's already cried enough to hurt, so this is just like a fucked up bonus round. she quiets eventually, breath shuddering, and just. settles, for now.
[ Otome's quiet for a few additional minutes once she feels Beau relax enough. She doesn't have to be a doctor to know how exhausted she must be, but she sighs softly before she speaks. ]
[she warbles out words that probably are like, a thank you, but she's so tired that it's a slurry mess. honestly, they're out in the dirt but otome is such a calming presence that beau probably at the very least zones out, if not actually dozes on her.
she does mumble something eventually, though. it's unintelligible.]

She... also has no idea what Beau said, but she leans back a little to check on her. ]
Do you want to head back?

Okay.
[she says finally. and when otome pulls back to look at her, beau just looks like she's been hit by a truck, really.]
M'cold.

... [ She pulls off one of the scarves still adorning one arm, to drape it over Beau's neck and shoulders. Then she offers her hand. ]
You've been out here longer than I'd normally advise, but sometimes we need the time to ourselves. Let's get you inside and warmed up now.
