Would it have really mattered? [he wouldn't exactly have treated her any differently, and it's not like he would tell other people to get her voted for. he doesn't know how he could have helped even if he said so to begin with.] I wasn't entirely sure for a little while, and maybe I tried to convince myself it wasn't true.
