[ She takes an hour. To breathe, to let her feelings settle, to think about what comes next, to finish tending to the others, who are just as shellshocked in different ways.
And then she sends Lucretia a text to let her know she's on her way and heads out to the Spring dorm. ]
[lucretia's there to let her in when she arrives, and the reason she asked is... probably going to be fairly obvious. normally she never uses her staff for support, but she is leaning on it a little bit now, and she's keeping her right arm held close.]
Thank you for coming, Otome. We can go to my room-- it should be quiet enough there.
[ Yeah, she's zeroing in on that immediately, but letting Lucretia lead the way. In fact, she'll wait until they're settled before speaking once more. ]
[she sits on the bed with a sigh, rolling up her sleeve; her arm's been wrapped in a very makeshift fashion, just using whatever smaller pieces of fabric she could use at the time in the absence of proper bandages. hello kitty ain't cutting it.]
Someone else was-- having some difficulty paying attention, and I didn't intervene in time to stop them knocking a pot over. It's both this and one leg, though the leg isn't as severe, just more painful.
[a slight pause, before she adds-]
The good and bad news on the arm is that the scalding was bad enough that I don't really feel it.
[ Otome just kind of stares for a moment-- and then sets her bag on the floor and begins to pull out what looks like a small tube of ointment and a roll of bandages. ]
Were you able to run them under cool water at all? I'd like to at least pat them down with a cloth, regardless... and was anyone else hurt or are you my one and only lucky patient?
Yes, and I kept the cloth over it damp last night.
[me, frantically googling the right first aid last night & dying over it because i don't know shit but lucretia would...]
But Ichinose was injured as well, and possibly worse off. [considering she was closer, and all.] I saw to both of us after it happened, to the extent that I could.
[she'll set it to the appropriate temperature, then! sure, otome is the doctor here, but she isn't about to let her do all the work. she is functional.]
There we are. I think that should just about do it.
[there's a slight huff of frustration, there. thanks she hates being hindered by anything!
kia i'm not gonna make us go through all of this but just for reference it's. not great! the leg's better, it's more like first/second degree scalding, but the arm's more like third degree thanks to kyuu's research.]

[ Well. People can be Like That. ]
Do you still have a cloth I could use?

[she doesn't wear them anyway? it's fine. they can be a sacrifice.]
If it comes to it then we can just tear off a sleeve.

[she'll go grab one! and knock on the suite bathroom door to make sure it's clear before opening it, if they're going to need the sink.]
What temperature will you need?

[ Cool water works best. ]

[ And she beams, quietly, as she gets to work dampening the towel. ]
Now, let's work on one injury at a time. Which one is causing you the most trouble?
